When do the seasons run? There are two seasons to a playing year, Fall and Spring. There are six games in each season. The fall season runs September - November, and the spring season runs February - April. How do I Register Registration can be done online by clicking the REGISTER NOW tab on the website. How does team placement work? Once registered, all players go into the "pool" of players in that grade. Our staff then goes in and manually places all players on teams. The placement process is the longest part of the registration period, so please allow 3-5 business days for your child to be placed. Who will coach my child's team? Baker Soccer Recreational coaches are volunteer parents or players. What size ball does your child need? Pre-K – 2nd Grade: Size 3
3rd – 6th Grade: Size 4
7th Grade and older: Size 5 How often do we practice? While each team's coach determines the team's practice schedule, NBRYSA recommends the following plan for practices:
• Pre-K - 2nd grade: Practice once per week for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
• 3rd - 6th grade: Practice up to twice per week from 1 hour to 1 ½ hours.
• 7th grade and older: Practice twice per week for 1 ½ hours. What is NBRYSA Recreational League Refund Policy? Any requested refunds will follow the same scale listed as credits based on the recreational
season timelines. Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis for events including, but not
limited to: Player’s family moving away, injury, registered for a league in which player numbers were
not high enough to form a team.
Refunds/credits will not be given in Force Majeure events such as severe weather including but not
limited to: flooding, hurricanes, and severe rainfall, global pandemics, and other matters outside of
BRSC’s control.
Refunds/Credits take into consideration administrative and overhead costs such as player
registration, team registration, coaching kits, coaching education, scheduling fields, and assigning
games.
